Production in Recticel’s Automotive Interiors Most plant in Czech Republic stopped after serious fire

Recticel announces that yesterday morning, Sunday 22 January 2017, a severe fire incident occurred in one of the production halls in its Automotive Interiors site in Most in the Czech Republic.

As far as can be ascertained at this stage, no one has been hurt.

For safety reasons, the authorities have closed down the plant, and production has been stopped completely.

Recticel is as of yet unable to assess the damage to the plant or the equipment, nor the full extent of the impact it will have on our production going forward.

Consequently, Recticel has declared force majeure to the customers of the Most plant.

During the force majeure period, Recticel will keep its customers informed about the situation and will cooperate with them in order to minimize to the extent possible the consequences of this unfortunate incident.
