The industrial world is increasingly regulated, particularly in regard to the current and potential impact of its activities on employees and surrounding communities. Each type of electro-mechanical equipment creates vibration and emits its own noise signature depending on its specific purpose. Reducing noise emissions helps to protect workers, creating a safer, healthier and more productive workplace and also safeguards the public and end-users from harmful noise and vibration.

At Soundcoat we provide the optimal noise-reducing and thermal treatment solutions for equipment by combining different materials to match customer design parameters. We provide adaptable sound absorption materials, tuned vibration damping treatments and an array of barrier products for preventing sound transmission. Sound absorption reduces reverberated noise, damping decreases the vibration of structural components to reduce structure-borne noise and barrier materials lessen  the transmission of noise between spaces.  Many of these applications also have thermal management requirements.

In addition, in applications such as microchip processing and satellite launches, highly sensitive components or payloads need to be protected from external acoustic vibration and thermal transmission.

Soundcoat’s acoustic lab, data collection and innovative acoustic modeling tools help customers design and optimize the acoustic performance of their equipment. Through modeling acoustic absorption, vibration damping and transmission loss, time consuming and expensive testing can be minimized resulting in shortened timelines for product launches and reduced costs.  Collaborating with customers to predict the noise response of equipment before it is even built results in significant time savings and design optimization during the product design cycle.

The accuracy of the acoustic models reflect full scale testing and minimize the sample size required for testing. This enables a  faster and more reliable development of products tailored to the needs of our customers
